KUALA LUMPUR: Property and construction group Mahajaya Bhd expects to rake in sales of RM100mil from its high-end, guarded residences of Damai Gayana, launched in the first quarter this year.
The freehold, 35-acre Damai Gayana, which is part of Bandar Damai Perdana township in Cheras, comprises 24 semi-detached units and 53 bungalows.
Mahajaya sales and marketing general manager Jackie Tan Fook Fan said the semi-detached houses were sold out while 70% of the bungalows were still available.
“Due to the good response, we are adding another 18 semi-detached houses that were opened for sales two months ago.
“We also plan to launch more bungalows and semi-detached houses in the future under Damai Gayana,” she told StarBiz. The semi-detached units, in two designs with built-up areas starting from 3,530 sq ft, are priced from RM838,000. The bungalows, with bigger built-up of 3,852 sq ft and 4,253 sq ft, cost RM1.24mil onwards. All units are 2½ storeys high.
Tan said Damai Gayana was aimed at buyers around the Cheras area.
“These houses are suitable for extended families, who want to upgrade to bigger units, as well as professionals. All units carry a modern contemporary design and we try to maximise space,” she said.
Residents of Damai Gayana will enjoy an unobstructed view of Cheras as it is built on elevated terrain of 550 ft above sea level.
Tan said the units would be delivered to buyers in early 2009. The entire project comprising more than 200 bungalows and semi-detached units, is scheduled for completion in 2010.
The 430-acre Bandar Damai Perdana is currently undergoing the second phase of development. The proposed third phase, to be launched in the second quarter of next year, will comprise mainly double-storey terrace houses, mid- and low-cost apartments. Approximately 1,500 units will be built under phase three.
Tan said plans were not finalised yet but feedback from buyers seemed to indicate that they were interested in double-storey houses. By CHAN CHING THUT Source= thestar.com.my |
