CENTURISE Group has allocated RM3mil to promote its latest product, a mobile discount voucher called MyStyle. Co-founder and group strategist Mi-Ki Choong said it would embark on a series of marketing campaigns to promote its latest product. “There are a total of 3.4 million mobile phone users in the Klang Valley alone. “Even if we are able to get only a small percentage of mobile phone users using it just once weekly, it will be a big business for the group,” she said in an interview. MyStyle enables vouchers to be downloaded onto a mobile phone and presented at a MyStyle member retailer outlet for redemption. To date, MyStyle has secured about 75 international and local brands offering vouchers for dining (Nando's, Sushi King and La Bodega), shopping (Giordano, Royal Sporting House and Nose), grooming (Leonard Drake and Dermalogica) and entertainment. She expects the number of merchants under MyStyle to double to 140 by year-end. “There are two types of redemption. The first one was my111, which offers one significant discount once a year for one mobile phone number while the other was my365 which is for discounts all-year round,” she explained. She said the cost of sending an SMS to receive the vouchers was the same as a normal SMS. “However, each successful my111 voucher would be charged RM3.50 while RM1.50 would be charged for one my365 voucher. “The discounts far outweighs what is charged,” Choong said, adding that a spin-off from this facility, a reality programme called StarCeleb, had been launched.
